Late Work Policy

All work assigned shall be submitted within one week (7 calendar days) of the due date without penalty. Projects have assigned due dates; quizzes, tests, and classwork are due on the day they are assigned, and homework is due the school day after it is assigned. After this one week (7 calendar days) period the assignment will be graded zero. For work to be accepted for credit after the one week grade period, a late work petition must be completed. Assignments then may be accepted with no more than a 31 point deduction in grade. The points deducted may range from 0 – 31 depending on the assignment and at the teacher’s discretion. These points will be deducted in an equitable manner.

Fulton County policy states that students who have excused absences are allowed 1 day for each day absent to make up work. In accordance with this policy, counting for the grace period will begin, one day after the student returns from an excused absence.
